Carp fishing locations are plentiful in the Western Cape and Stellenbosch. There are both private and public locations to fish. Of course, with private locations it is best to seek the landowner's permission prior to going on the property to fish their dams.

Most dams have carp in them here. In many, catfish, or barbel, are also present but an entirely different catch requiring different techniques and bait.
